Welcome to ROLANG, the Romanian Language School! Our courses and services are provided to you subject to the following terms and conditions. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.
Information about us
The Courses are supplied by ROLANG School, a department of SC Tekmar Consulting SRL. We are registered in Romania, Bucharest, under company number RO 18661994, Commercial Register Number: J40/7724/12.05.2006, and with our registered office in Bucharest, Romania, 4 Ion Brezoianu Street, 3rd floor, apt. 5, sector 5.
Information about you
Anyone that is at least 18 years old can participate in ROLANG courses.
How the agreement is formed between you and us
Your booking constitutes a request to us to reserve a place for you on a Course with a specific start date (Course Commencement Date). All bookings are subject to acceptance by us, and we will confirm such acceptance to you by sending you an e-mail confirming that a place has been reserved for you on the Course if the group you wish to register will be assembled. The current terms and conditions serve as an agreement between us and you.
The fees contain VAT and can be paid in various ways, before the course commencement date:
(1) credit card (payment link: euro or lei)
(2) bank transfer in euro or lei
(3) cash at our headquarters in lei (RON). National Bank Rate from the payment day is used to convert euro to lei.
(4) credit card at our headquarters in lei (RON). Your card can be in any currency, in which case an automatic exchange into lei will be performed.
Course withdrawal policy
The deadline for requesting withdrawal from a course is one day before the course starts. If you inform the ROLANG team before the course commencement date about your withdrawal, we will refund you the course fee, without an administrative charge of 10%. No credits are reimbursed after the course starts.
Cancellation policy for courses
Private and online courses: We kindly ask the students to keep a record of their planned lesson dates and times. In case the student can not attend a planned session, the student is asked to give us a 24-hour prior notice. The planned session fee will be charged in case the cancellations are not made with prior notice of 24 hours.
Class courses: The school provides teachers and classrooms and all the lessons take place according to the schedule, except for events outside our control.
Events outside our control
We will not be liable or responsible for any failure to perform, or delay in performance of any of our obligations under a Contract that is caused by events outside our reasonable control (force majeure event) including, without limitation, strikes, lock-outs and other industrial disputes, breakdown of systems or network access, flood, fire, earthquake, explosion, illness or accident.
Disclaimer for class courses
There are several groups in each course module for different levels of Romanian and time slots. Nevertheless, it may not be a group for your level of Romanian at your requested time slot. Make sure in advance that there is a group for your level of Romanian at the program that you want to attend and at your requested time slot. Contact the organizers at least 2 weeks before the course starts.
Ownership and intellectual property
ROLANG books and materials are owned by us. All intellectual property rights in all materials available from the ROLANG, including the design, graphics, and text of all books and printed materials, and the audio of all webinars and podcasts, are owned by the ROLANG. No content produced by ROLANG may be copied, reproduced, uploaded, posted, displayed, or linked to in any way, in whole or in part, without ROLANG’s prior permission. Any such use is strictly prohibited and will constitute an infringement of ROLANG’s intellectual property rights.
Code of Conduct
The following behavior is expected of all staff, students, and members: act in ways that do not discriminate against people of different backgrounds, do not use language which could offend others e.g. racist, sexist, homophobic, ageist, or language offensive to people with a disability, respect the different backgrounds, experiences, and lifestyles of others.
Law and jurisdiction
Contracts for the purchase of Courses through the site and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims) will be governed by Romanian law. Any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with such Contracts or their formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Romania.
Modification of Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. Your continued use of our courses and services after any changes to these terms and conditions constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
