We offer both online and face-to-face (in-person) courses for learning Romanian, and each option has its unique advantages. Here's a breakdown of the pros and cons of each approach:
Online courses
Location: Our online courses take place using a video-chat application, typically Skype. In order to participate in our online courses, you will need a reliable internet connection, a webcam, and a microphone. You will also need to have Skype installed on your computer or mobile device. During the online course, you will interact with your teacher in real-time and be able to see and hear them as if they were in the same room with you. This allows you to take our courses from the comfort of your own home, office, or anywhere else that is convenient for you.
Convenience: With online courses, you can learn from anywhere in the world with an internet connection. You can fit your studies around your work schedule, and you don't have to worry about commuting to class.
Flexibility: Online courses offer a flexible approach to learning. You can set your own pace, pause and rewind videos, and take the time you need to absorb the material. You can also choose the time that suits you best for your one-to-one lessons with your teacher.
Access to teachers: Our online courses provide you with direct access to our teachers, who are all qualified and experienced in teaching Romanian. They are available to answer any questions you have and provide feedback on your progress.
High-quality resources: Our online courses provide you with access to high-quality resources, including audio and video materials, as well as interactive exercises and quizzes to help you learn.
Note to Students Attending Online Courses: Please note that the course schedule is in Romanian time (Eastern European Time). If you are located in a different time zone, please make sure to adjust the time accordingly. We recommend checking the time difference before the course begins and setting reminders to ensure that you do not miss a class. You can use a time converter to determine the time zone difference between your time and Romanian time (Time Converter). Please make sure that the course time is during the daytime in Romania (from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm, Romanian time).
Face-to-face courses (F2F, in-person)
Location: Our face-to-face courses take place at our school headquarters, located at 4 Ion Brezoianu Street, 3rd floor, sector 5, Bucharest - 050023, Romania (ROLANG address map). You can take private courses in all major cities in Romania (Brașov, Constanța, Cluj, Iași, Ploiești, Sibiu, Timișoara). These courses require your physical presence and are a great option for those who prefer traditional classroom-style learning. Our classrooms are equipped with modern technology and resources to ensure that you have the best learning experience possible.
Personal interaction: In-person classes provide an opportunity for direct personal interaction with your teacher and other students in a dynamic and engaging environment. This can be particularly helpful for people who learn best through discussion, asking questions, and interaction with their peers.
Immersion in the language and culture: Learning Romanian in a physical classroom setting allows for greater immersion in the language and culture. You can practice your language skills in real-life situations, and you'll be able to experience the nuances of the language and culture first-hand.
Structured learning: Face-to-face courses offer a structured learning environment. You'll have a set schedule of classes and homework assignments, and you'll have to attend the classes at the specific time they are scheduled.
