Romanian class courses (Bucharest)

8 week language program

Schedule: twice a week, 2 hours / day, 4 hours / week
Duration: 8 weeks (32 hours)
In the morning: 9:30 - 11:30 and 11:30 - 13:30
In the afternoon: 14:00 - 16:00
In the evening: 16:30 - 18:30 and 18:30 - 20:30
The minimum number of students for each group is 4 with a maximum of 9.

Description
 
Class course programs are a comprehensive approach to studying Romanian. The goal of the courses is to develop effective communication skills and to improve the students' knowledge of Romanian. The emphasis is on communicative method of teaching and on the four key language skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing.
The classroom activities are focused on real life situations, role-playing, conversation, discussions, vocabulary and grammar exercises. With a maximum of 9 students per class, you are guaranteed to receive all the attention from your teacher. The atmosphere is very relaxed, fun and informal and the students are encouraged to participate in the classes. After finishing one module you can continue to the next level. 


2 week language program (intensive)

Schedule: from Monday to Friday, 3 hours / day, 15 hours / week
Duration: 2 weeks (30 hours)

In the afternoon: 14:00 - 17:00
In the evening:    17:30 - 20:30

This course is thought for students with a A2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages and it is designed for professionals learning Romanian for business, marketing and industry purposes.

 
Content

Business correspondence, writing a CV and business letters, job interviews, commercial mailing, typology of banking and finances, marketing and advertising vocabulary.

Description

This course is thought for students with any level of Romanian. According to the students' level, the teaching language will be English or Romanian.

 
Content
 
Romania and its population, geographical regions of Romania, main cities and their names, main tourist places, history facts, Romanian National Day, Romanian food, customs, traditions and religious holidays, Romanian politics, education and health, famous writers, actors, film makers, inventors, interesting facts about Romania. Last, but not least: a short guide on how to really integrate in Romania.

Specialized course: Immersion course

Duration: 3 days, 10 hours

Description 
 
Immersion course is a bath in the ocean: only Romanian is allowed.
All course levels are offered from A1 to advanced courses.The course is based on conversation and it takes place in a non-academic, non-formal and relaxed environment. The main goal of this program is to help students to increase confidence in their ability to use the Romanian language in a wide range of life situations and to improve the students' oral skills.
 
Content
 
Conversation based on daily topics with focus on the students' interests, audio and video materials, practice sessions including role playing in both everyday and professional situations.

Duration: 3 days, 10 hours

This course is thought for students with a A2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages and it is structured around daily situations related to a wide range of tourist services.

 
Content

Vocabulary related to hotels, accommodations and meals, asking for information, tourist information offices and services, travel agencies, complains related to accommodation and tourist services.

Specialized course: Romanian for citizenship

Duration: 3 days, 10 hours

On Fridays (3 hours / day): 9:30 – 12:30 and 17:30 – 20:30

Description

This course is thought for students with a B2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

 
Content

The course is structured around useful topics for the citizenship exam: Romanian Constitution, Romanian Government and Parliament, administrative and territorial division of Romania, citizens' rights, Romanian regions and cities, rivers, lakes, Romanian history (independence, former kings and political leaders, first and second word war), Romanian writers, musicians, composers, and scientists.

Disclaimer

There are several groups to each course module for different levels of Romanian and time slots. Nevertheless, it may not be a group for your level of Romanian at your requested time slot. Make sure in advance that there is a group for your level of Romanian at the program that you want to attend and at your requested time slot. Contact the organizers at least 2 weeks before the course starts.

Payment method for all types of courses

The fees contain VAT and can be paid in various ways, before the course commencement date:
 
(1) credit card (euros via PayPal) 
(2) transfer from a PayPal account
(3) bank transfer in euros
(4) bank transfer in lei (RON)
(5) cash at our headquarters in lei (RON), at the National Bank Rate from the payment day

If you pay the course fee at least one week before the course commencement date you get a discount of 5%. For the second module you get a discount of 10%. The discounts are not cumulative.

Course withdrawal policy

The deadline for requesting withdrawal from a course is one day before the course starts.

If you inform the ROLANG team before the course commencement date about your withdrawal, we will refund you the course fee, without an administrative charge of 10%.
No credits are reimbursed after the course starts.

Manual

The "Learn Romanian" package (manual, exercise book and audio files: 812 pages)  costs 39 euros.
Discounted price for ROLANG students: 30 euros
